A Young Adult worship and ministry experience at New Hope on Saturday, February 25 at 7:00 p.m
Prayer Chain
We are in need of men and women for a prayer chain. If you wish to participate or need prayer, please contact the Church office or fill out a Communication Card and drop it in the offering plate. Communication Cards are found in pockets located on the back of the sanctuary chairs. The Elders and Pastoral staff and/or Prayer Team, will bring your request before the Lord. All prayer requests will be kept confidential.
Intercessory Prayer Team
Intercession is coming to God on behalf of another. All intercession is prayer, but not all prayer is intercession. The word "intercession" is derived from the Latin word inter meaning "between" and cedere meaning "to go". Intercession, then, is going between or standing in the gap (see Ezekial 22:30). We need men and women who are willing to stand in the gap for our church, our community and the world. Each member of the Prayer Team will be required to attend a training series. If you are interested in being a part of our Intercessory Prayer Team, please contact Pastor Seeon.
Telephone Ministry
To support for people in our Church we need to know what is happening in their lives. Each week, volunteers contact members of our congregation to connect, provide encouragement, receive prayer requests and book visitation appointments.
Words of Encouragement
Scripture tells us that we should encourage one another (1 Thes. 5:11-13). The Apostle Paul knew that in order for believers to grow in their faith, they must have love and encouragement. He sent Timothy back to Thesselonians to provide this support (1 Thes. 3:2,3). Throughout the New Testament, believers are encouraged to serve and minister to one another, following the example of Christ (Romans 12:10, 16; Gal. 6:2; James 5:16). People involved in the Words of Encouragement Ministry are focussed on looking for ways they can encourage and uplift others. Encouragement may come by way of a note, phone call or comment made directly to the person.
Encouragement Cards are found in pockets located on the back of the sanctuary chairs and on the table in the foyer.
Give your note to the recipient or drop it off anonymously in their mailbox.
