This Week at New Hope Christian Assembly
For the week of July 27th
Edmonton has had quite a stretch of severe weather these past 48 hours. A thunderstorm passed through the city on July 26, bringing flooding and fallen trees, and Edmonton's soggy summer has officially set a new seasonal rainfall record. The city was hit with more than 30 millimetres of rain in an hour, knocking out power and flooding some areas, and wind gusts reached as high as 94 km/h. On top of that, Environment Canada has warned that further thunderstorms today could bring large hail, damaging winds, and even a tornado risk. CBC News + 3
With all this rain and severe weather, let's lift up our church family in prayer this week — that our church building and everyone's homes would stay watertight and safe, that no one among us would face flooding or storm damage, and that God would watch over our whole city as we head into more unsettled weather. Lord, be our shelter in every storm.

Loaves & Fishes Summer Bring & Share
A little from everyone makes a big difference.
For years, Loaves & Fishes has been a special time to linger after worship, share good food, and grow deeper in friendship. This is where newcomers feel at home and our church family comes alive around the table.
This summer we're keeping it simple and joyful. No cooking required — just bring a little something to add to the table. A bag of grapes, a box of crackers, a dozen muffins, or anything easy. When everyone brings just a little, something wonderful happens!
What to bring – any cold food item you wish! Here are some ideas:
Juice, coffee, and tea will be provided.
Everyone plays a part — and that's what makes it beautiful. We ask that everyone who enjoys the meal also helps in one of these ways:
Please note: No eating on the carpets or stairs. Respecting our fellowship hall is part of respecting each other. A clean space is a gift to everyone who uses it.
