New Hope Church — Weekly Update
Week of September 14th, 2026
It's officially sweater weather here in Edmonton! With the leaves turning and a chill in the morning air, there's no better time to gather together — whether it's around a table, in a Zoom window, or in the pews on Sunday. Here's what's happening this week at New Hope.
This Week at New Hope
Monday, September 14 | 7:00–8:00 PM
Monday Night Home Prayer Meeting
The Pysar's Residence — 5911 121 Ave NW, Edmonton
Wednesday, September 16 | 7:00–8:00 PM
Wednesday Night Bible Study is back!
Let's gather again — Zoom makes it easy to join from the comfort of home, phone in hand, cup of tea in the other.
This week's topic: Judges Chapters 4 & 5.
Whether you jump into discussion or just sit and listen with your mic on mute, you're welcome exactly as you are.
We always close in prayer together — there's something special about that, even on a screen.

Sunday Worship — Preacher: Jeremiah
Worship Leader: Alan | Singers: Roberta, Tarrie, Tony, Sean | Sound: Brian | PowerPoint: Paula
Stay after for Loaves & Fishes lunch in the fellowship hall! Team 3 (Margaret, Elva, Tony, Robyn, and Sean) is serving up the meal, and Marcia's got dessert covered.
A huge thank-you to Margaret Asselstine, who has taken on coordinating Loaves & Fishes — it's no small task, and we're so grateful for her heart and hard work. Questions or concerns about fellowship lunches? Reach out to Margaret directly.
Team 1 also only has Tarrie on it, and we need more volunteers to join her team. Please email us and let us know if you can provide food on October 11th.
Healing Pathways Wellness Initiative — Fall with Dr. Martina Tillotson
Open to everyone — invite a friend or neighbour! Follow Healing Pathways Wellness Initiative for updates.
Lost & Found
Elva Sneed left her air-fryer at the church, but now we can't find it. If you know where it's been squirrelled away or have seen it, please put it in the kitchen. Pastor Catherine also left a crystal vase of much sentimental value — if you've seen it, please put it in the kitchen as well.
God bless each and every one of you — have a wonderful week!
