It's officially sweater weather here in Edmonton! With the leaves turning and a chill in the morning air, there's no better time to gather together — whether it's around a table, in a Zoom window, or in the pews on Sunday. Here's what's happening this week at New Hope.

We always close in prayer together — there's something special about that, even on a screen.

Stay after for Loaves & Fishes lunch in the fellowship hall! Team 3 (Margaret, Elva, Tony, Robyn, and Sean) is serving up the meal, and Marcia's got dessert covered.

A huge thank-you to Margaret Asselstine, who has taken on coordinating Loaves & Fishes — it's no small task, and we're so grateful for her heart and hard work. Questions or concerns about fellowship lunches? Reach out to Margaret directly.

Team 1 also only has Tarrie on it, and we need more volunteers to join her team. Please email us and let us know if you can provide food on October 11th.

Healing Pathways Wellness Initiative — Fall with Dr. Martina Tillotson

  • Wild Heart, Shaped for Story — 12-week in-person writing journey, Saturdays 1:00–3:30 PM at New Hope Church. Registration still open — no experience needed!
  • Creative Conversations — Weekly community & creativity gathering, Mondays.
  • The Twelve Steps: A Spiritual Journey — Free weekly recovery & spiritual-growth group, Thursdays 10:00 AM–12:00 PM.
  • (EEAA cohort began Sept. 5 and is now full.)

Lost & Found

Elva Sneed left her air-fryer at the church, but now we can't find it. If you know where it's been squirrelled away or have seen it, please put it in the kitchen. Pastor Catherine also left a crystal vase of much sentimental value — if you've seen it, please put it in the kitchen as well.
